About

Meta is the place where Sadie Lou staff and friends share links and thoughts. The goal of the site is to foster a shared internet culture at Sarah Lawrence College, and to drive forward-looking development for the Sadie Lou Project as a whole. For more information about Sadie Lou, visit the Sadie Lou About page.

Goals

Sadie Lou is all about building and supporting the artistic and intellectual community within the college gates and with the larger world. Posts on Meta attempt to be interesting and accessible to casual readers, while maintaining the quirky personality of the school as a whole and the individuals who contribute to the site. We hope Meta is a site that can engage the entire Sarah Lawrence community, and we encourage readers to register an account and post thoughtful comments.

Community Standards

Contributors to Meta use the following guidelines when crafting posts:

  1. Consider the audience – will they honestly find the post interesting?
  2. Anything NSFW should not be posted.
  3. Give credit as much as possible.
    • Where did this information originate?
    • Who wrote, performed, or created it?

Contributors who submit posts that do not meet these guidelines will be contacted and asked to consider the material they post more carefully. If a contributor repeatedly posts inappropriate content, we will ask that contributor to leave the team.

We strongly encourage our readers to post thoughtful additions to posts via comments, but we reserve the right to delete inappropriate, off-topic, or non-constructive comments at the discretion of the editors. Repeat offenses in the comments may lead to account deletion without notice.
